Professional Engineers in Construction (PEC)
PEC brings together several viewpoints: the engineer's, the employer's, and that of the construction industry in general. PEC addresses concerns that are important to engineers and the entire construction industry.
PEC offers:
- Panels and seminars on such subjects as asbestos removal, construction arbitration, design/build contracting, and construction management.
- The opportunity to meet and work with other construction engineers and to make valuable career and business contacts.
- The strengthening of the public image of the construction engineer.
- Better engineer management relationships.
- A legislative program on the state and national levels.
PEC accomplishes these objectives through active committee work and projects in the areas of design/build contracting, construction management, legislative and government affairs, inspection and building safety, computer applications, arbitration and mediation, asbestos abatement, energy, and professional development.
