  • TSPE Outstanding Engineer of the Year
    The TSPE Engineer of the Year Award is the highest honor given to an individual TSPE member. Chapters nominate eligible members for consideration at the state level. Eligibility is restricted to engineers whose sustained and unusual contributions have improved the public welfare and the advancement of his/her profession. The candidate should be an engineer of recognized standing, preferably registered, and a citizen of Texas. All nominations remain active for two years.

  • TSPE Outstanding Young Engineer of the Year Award
    The Texas Society of Professional Engineers established the award in 1970 and receives nominations from chapters across the state. TSPE seeks to acknowledge the recipient's technical ability, professional achievements, civic and humanitarian activities.

  • Industrial Professional Development Award
    TSPE’s Professional Engineers in Industry Practice Division annually presents this award to the Texas industrial performer judged to have the most outstanding engineering employment program from among those nominated by all of the chapters of TSPE. The award reflects TSPE's desire to publicly honor the industrial organization showing exceptional achievement in adopting and implementing professional employment policies for its engineering personnel. Winners of this award at the state level are automatically submitted for consideration at the national level.

  • Construction Professional Development Award
    Coordinated by the Professional Engineers in Construction Practice Division, the CPDA originated in 1981 to honor the construction employer in Texas with the most outstanding employment practices. The state society annually holds a presentation ceremony to honor the winning nomination submitted by the TSPE chapters, and forwards to NSPE the state winner for consideration in the national competition.
  • Private Practice Professional Development Award
    The third award of its kind begun in 1981, the PPPDA, under the direction of the TSPE Professional Engineers in Private Practice, recognizes the outstanding contributions of consulting engineers to professional employment practices. Like the other professional development awards, the PPPDA is three-tiered, corresponding with the three levels of chapter/TSPE/NSPE membership.
  • TSPE President's Awards
    These awards are presented at the TSPE Annual Meeting in June to the chapter in each of the following categories with the largest percentage membership increase from April 1 to March 31.

Small Chapter

1 to 50 members

Medium Chapter

51 to 149 members

Large Chapter

150 to 399 members

Very Large Chapter

400 members and up

  • Hudnall Award
    TSPE presents the Hudnall Award, along with a $50 stipend, to the chapter with the greatest numerical increase in membership at the Annual Membership Meeting in June.
