Professional Engineers in Industry (PEI)

More than one-third of NSPE members are employed by industry.

PEI objectives are:

• Establishing and maintaining high standards of competence and ethical conduct.
• Continuing the encouragement of registration of qualified engineers.
• Supporting the development of a legislative and administrative policy that best serves the public.
• Encouraging participation in community and civic affairs.
• Promoting public appreciation of the work and achievements of engineers in industry.
• Advancing the professional development and economic interests of professional engineers through sound employment practices.
• Affirming faith in and support of the free enterprise system.
